12.-18.2.

 On monday we had a day off and visited Amsterdam. Tuesday and wednesday we were at school again, tuesday we were downstairs and I made stroopwafels, and wednesday we had a dinner service upstairs. Thursday to saturday I was at Pata Negra, and on friday I got off early, because all three of us had the chance to eat dinner at Pata Negra cost free. On sunday we waved goodbye to Moises, who's three weeks had come to an end.

29.1.-4.2.

 Trip started on monday 29.1. with getting ourselves to Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Once there, we dropped off our bags, and decided to kill some time. So we went to get some lunch and hunt down the robot librarian of Helsinki library Oodi. The flight was supposed to leave at 16.20, but because a piece of tape was a bit off on the plane, the flight was delayed by about an hour. The train trip went rather smoothly, but because of the delay we arrived in Sneek too late to go get any groceries. Next day we had a tour of the school, and noticed the neighbourhood has quite a lot of cats, which is rather nice. The on job practise locations have mostly quite cramped kitchens, but are quite modern. Overall first week has been mostly getting used to the country and kitchens.

 Monday was a day off, which was spent baking pulla. On tuesday we went to an hospitality fair in Leeuwarden, with lots of great(and free!) food and drinks. Wednesday we went to the school, Firda Sneek again, where we didn't do much. Making some sandwiches and washing the floor were the most exciting things we did that day. Thursday was first day at Noah burgerbistro, during which there was a bit of mise en place, washing dishes, and running between Markt23 and the burgerbistro, since the burgerbistro doesn't have all the equipment that Markt23 has. Friday was quite similiar to thursday, but I did get to brand some buns. Saturday was quite a good day, I got to build the first plates of the trip, and the day went by quickly building plates and doing a tiny bit of mise en place and dish washing. Sunday was again a pulla day, this time celebrating laskiainen, so strawberry jam and whipped cream was added. In the evening we also spectated the finnish presidential elections second r...

19.-25.2.

 Since it was springbreak, we didn't have any school this week. Instead we took a little trip to Leeuwarden. This week our internship took us to the prep-kitchen, where we made about 100 liters of sauces.
